Microdermabrasion For skin Polishing

Microdermabrasion is an exciting medical technique that removes the topmost layer of skin by gently removing the skin using natural diamond chips while at the same time vacumming the dead skin cells away in a sterile and controlled manner. An immediate improvement can be noticed with even the first treatment, however best results are achieved with a dedicated series of at least 5 treatments.

Microdermabrasion is used to remove sun-damaged skin and to remove or lessen scars and dark spots on the skin. The procedure is not very painful and requires no anaesthetic.

It is also called Skin Resurfacing. This is not the same as Skin Polishing / Microdermabrasion done in beauty-parlors. This procedure is performed mainly for multiple pitted pimple scars & wrinkles in an aging face.

Chemical peels for acne, pigmentation, under eye dark circles, fairness, photo ageing and glow

Chemical peels use a new generation of fruit acids (e.g.) AHA, BHA, PHA) formulations that are topically applied onto the treatment area. This "rejuvenates" your skin surface by creating an even and controlled shedding of the topmost layer of the skin, the stratum corneum. This allows new layers to be exposed and creates a "fresh" appearance to the skin surface. In addition, skin cells and collagen are stimulated, creating a more even tone. Is has proven to be a very popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure.

Benefits ?

  • o sedation or anaesthetic is needed
  • Sometimes a single treatment will give your skin a healthier, radiant look.
  • No downtime you can immediately resume normal activities.

RF for removal of moles, warts and skin tags

Electrosurgery and Radio frequency ablation are methods by which moles, warts and skin tags can be removed almost painlessly and immediately. Using either topical (by applying a cream) or local (using a small injection) anesthesia, the procedure is rendered quick and painless to the patient. Healing occurs over a period of 3 to 10 days depending on the size and the depth of the lesion. These methods do away with the tedious process of wart paints and creams, and are of particular help in preventing warts from spreading further.

Practically painless, sutureless and virtually having no downtime, electrosurgery and radiosurgery are great options for removing skin tags, warts and similar lesions. While most patients often fear a malignant transformation of a wart or a mole, the chances for such a transformation are quite low. However, at Dr Renita Rajan Skin & Hair Clinic, we do not take our patient's concerns lightly, and adequate counseling and options for histopathology examination are provided to all patients. A follow up plan is often given to the patient, and they may report after a week for post procedure assessment.
